A Starlink dish on a roof overlooking countryside at sunset

Starlink fitted across Surrey

Slow rural broadband, or a site the cables never reached? Our engineers mount Starlink dishes on roofs, chimneys, walls and poles, with the cable run hidden and Wi-Fi that reaches the whole property.

Where we come in

You order the Starlink kit from Starlink; we fit it properly so it works at its best.

Drawing of a Starlink dish on a pitched roof

Roof mounting

The dish fixed high on the roof where nothing blocks its view upward, sealed so the roof stays watertight.

Drawing of a Starlink dish on a pole

Pole and wall mounts

A pole on the chimney, the gable or the ground to lift the dish above trees and nearby buildings.

Cable brought inside

The cable brought inside through a sealed entry and taken to the best spot for the router, not just the nearest window.

Farms and rural homes

Barns, yards and isolated houses, with links to outbuildings so the whole site is online.

Drawing of mesh Wi-Fi units around a house

Wi-Fi to every room

Extra Wi-Fi units or cabled access points so the Starlink connection reaches upstairs, the office and the garden.

Moves and fixes

Dishes moved to a clearer spot when the app reports obstructions, and cables or mounts replaced after damage.

Where should your dish go?

Starlink needs a wide view of the sky. Where the dish goes depends on your trees and your roof.

How a Starlink install goes

Most installs are done in a single visit.

Step 1 of 4

Check the sky

Before we come, run the obstruction check in the Starlink app where you’d like the dish and send us a screenshot.

When Starlink makes sense

Starlink delivers broadband from satellites in low orbit, so it works wherever the dish can see the sky. For farms, hamlets and houses miles from the exchange, it often beats the phone line by a huge margin.

Unlike a TV dish, which stares at one point, it wants a big open patch of sky overhead. Trees, chimneys and nearby buildings all cause short dropouts, so finding the right spot is the most important part of the job.

We fix the dish firmly, bring its lead indoors through a sealed entry, and set up the router somewhere central. Where the house is large, we add wired access points so the fast connection reaches every room.

Starlink questions

Is the Starlink kit included?

No. The kit and service come straight from Starlink. We provide the mounting, cabling and Wi-Fi so it’s installed properly.

Why does my Starlink keep dropping out?

Usually something is blocking part of the sky: trees, a chimney or a neighbouring roof. The app’s obstruction map shows where. Moving or raising the dish normally cures it.

Can it go on a chimney?

Often, using a chimney bracket and lashing kit, as long as the chimney is sound. It’s often the clearest view on a house.

Does Starlink need planning consent?

Usually not for a house, on similar terms to a satellite dish. Listed buildings, conservation areas and flats can be different, so check if that applies to you.

Can Starlink reach my outbuildings?

Yes. We link barns, offices and annexes with buried cable or wireless bridges so they share the connection.

Will it work with my existing Wi-Fi system?

Often, yes. We can put the Starlink router into a simple mode and let your mesh or access points run the Wi-Fi.

Can I use Starlink with my own router?

Yes, with the right adapter. We can also connect it to mesh or wired access points for whole-house coverage.

Will trees cause problems?

They can cause brief dropouts. We check the view of the sky before choosing a mount, and suggest a higher spot if needed.

Can you move an existing Starlink dish?

Yes. If you fitted it yourself and it keeps dropping out, a better position often solves it.

Is the Starlink cable long enough?

It comes in fixed lengths, so the dish position and the router’s spot have to be planned together. We work both out before drilling anything.

Will the dish cope with wind and snow?

Yes, if the mount is solid. We fix it to take a winter gale and leave the dish free to tilt itself, and it warms itself to melt light snow.
